No. When you tap your card to their phone or they scan your QR code, your profile opens right in their normal phone browser. They do not need to install anything.

Yes. Individuals can create a digital profile with Kardania Connect for free, and upgrade to Premium for more. Teams use Kardania Loop, which has paid plans built for organizations.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is the same tap technology used for contactless payments. With a Kardania NFC card, you simply hold the card near someone's phone and your profile opens instantly, with no app needed for them.

Most smartphones from the last several years support NFC. On iPhone, models from iPhone XS and XR (2018) and newer open an NFC card automatically just by holding it near the top of the phone. iPhone 7 through iPhone X also have NFC but may need a quick tap from the built-in NFC reader in Control Center. On Android, the large majority of phones from the last five years include NFC, which you can confirm under Settings, Connections, NFC. If a phone has no NFC or it's switched off, your Kardania QR code works on any phone with a camera.

No. You can share two ways: tap your NFC card to a phone, or let anyone scan your QR code. The QR code works on any phone with a camera, so you're always covered.

Just show your Kardania QR code instead. They scan it with their camera and your profile opens right away, no NFC required.

You set up and update your profile in the Kardania app, but the card itself works on its own. Once your profile is ready, the card simply opens it on any phone you tap or scan.

Free gives you a complete digital card with NFC and QR sharing, core connectors, and Apple and Google Wallet. Premium adds multiple profiles, premium connectors and custom CTAs, profile media like galleries, PDFs and video, a custom QR and Wallet designer, and a connect-back form to capture contacts.

Yes. With Premium you can keep separate profiles for different audiences, for example one for work and one for a side project, and switch between them in a tap.
