Profile setup & media
Your profile is the digital card people see when they open your link or scan your gadget. It is built from two sources of information that Loop merges into one card.
What makes up a profile
- Your personal details come from your user profile: your name, job title, department, photo, email, mobile number, and work number.
- Your organization details come from the brand you belong to: the brand logo, company name, website, and the brand's colors and styling.
Loop combines the two, so every person's card is personal to them while staying consistent with the company's identity. You manage the profile under your brand (not under an individual branch).
Profile configuration
Open your brand's profile configuration to control how the card looks and what it shows. The options include:
- Theme. Choose from a library of ready-made profile themes in the theme picker. Which themes you see depends on your plan, so the list may differ between accounts. Each theme pairs your avatar with an optional cover photo that you can upload and crop, and some themes feature the cover photo prominently. Picking a theme updates your public Connect card instantly.
- Display options. Turn individual fields on or off: brand logo, job title, department, company name, and bio.
- Connectors. Choose which connectors appear on the card, drag to reorder them, and switch between a grid or list layout. (See the next section.)
- Media visibility. Show or hide the images, PDFs, and YouTube sections.
- Section order. Drag to arrange the order of the card's sections (the connect-back area, action buttons, connectors, images, PDFs, and YouTube links).
Choose Save to apply your changes.
Connectors
A connector is a tappable action on the card, for example call, WhatsApp, SMS, email, a website or social profile, a map or address, or a capture form. Connectors are what make a card actionable.
Connectors are managed under your brand, and they come in two scopes:
- Global (brand) connectors apply to all branches under the brand, for example the company website or the main WhatsApp number. You set them once and they are available everywhere.
- Branch-specific connectors apply to a single branch only, for example a branch phone number or a local address.
To manage them, open Connectors under your brand:
- Choose to create a connector and pick its type (email, phone, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, website, capture form, and so on).
- Enter its details (the number, address, or link).
- For a global connector, choose which branches it applies to. A branch connector is scoped to that branch automatically.
- Each connector has an active/inactive toggle, and can be edited or deleted. Loop warns you if a connector is currently used in an email signature before you delete it.
Connectors you create here become available to select in profile configuration, where you decide which ones show and in what order.
Who can use which connector types
The connector types available to the account are chosen by the account owner (or a Full Access admin) in Settings. Team members can then add connectors of those allowed types to their own card, including from the mobile app, so personal cards stay on-brand.
Profile media
You can enrich the card with media. Media belongs to a branch, not to the brand, so each office can show its own photos and documents on the same shared design. Open the brand, open the branch, then choose Branch Media. There are three types:
- Images. Upload a photo (with an optional crop) and give it a title.
- PDFs. Upload brochures, catalogs, or menus, each with a title.
- YouTube videos. Paste a video link and an optional title.
All three can be retitled and removed. Your plan gives each branch a storage allowance in megabytes rather than a file count, and an indicator shows how much of it you have used. A YouTube link is only a link, so it does not count against that allowance.
Media appears on the card only when its section is enabled under Media visibility in profile configuration, in the position you set with Section order.
Where this fits
Brand and branch branding (logo and colors) flows into your profile automatically. See Brands & branches. Once your profile, connectors, and media are set, share it through a digital card or a Connect link. See Digital business cards (Gadgets) and Sharing with Connect.
