Getting started

Roles & who can do what

Kardania Loop uses roles and permission groups to control what each person can see and do. This keeps sensitive actions, like billing or deleting the account, in the right hands.

The main roles

Account Owner. The person who owns the account. There is one owner at a time. Only the owner can permanently delete the account. Ownership can be transferred. The owner has full access to everything.

Account Admin (Full Access). Can manage users, settings, brands, billing, and all the day-to-day modules. Most administrators sit here.

Team Member. A regular user with access to the modules and entities they have been granted. What a team member can do is defined by their permission groups.

Brand and Branch managers

On top of the roles above, a user can be made a manager of part of your organization:

  • A Brand Manager can manage a specific brand and all the branches under it.
  • A Branch Manager can manage a single branch only.

Managers see and edit only the people and data within their scope. A few fields are deliberately locked for them. For example, a Brand or Branch Manager cannot change another user's email or account status, and a Branch Manager cannot move a user to a different branch.

What controls access

Two things decide what a user can do:

  1. Their permission group(s). Permission groups switch each module on or off (Users, Pulse, Capture, Campaigns, Flows, Integrations, Reports, and so on). See Permissions & managers to set these up.
  2. Their management scope. Brand and Branch manager assignments limit which records they can act on.

Plan limits also apply

Some features are part of your subscription plan rather than your role. If a feature is not included in your plan, you will see it locked with an upgrade prompt, regardless of your role. Examples include advanced CRM analytics, custom wallet passes, and email signatures. See Plans, seats & billing for more.
